Kristina G. Maranges is a graduate of the St. Thomas University School of Law where she had the honor of serving as an Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review and received several accolades for her advocacy skills, including Trial Advocacy, as well as Advocacy in the Appellate System. Kristina became a published author when her article, The US Government: Cuba's Best Retailer for its Cuban Cohiba, premised on the prosecutorial injustices she witnessed in a federal indictment of a South Florida man for allegedly counterfeiting Cuban cigars, was published in the Spring of 2007. The article's Westlaw Citation is 19 St. Thomas L. Rev. 509.
Since graduation, Kristina has dedicated her practice to complex criminal defense and is admitted to practice in the State of Florida. She currently is a member of the Dade County and Cuban American Bar Associations.
Most recently, Kristina was involved in the zealous, and ultimately victorious, defense of a prominent South Florida businessman charged with RICO, RICO Conspiracy, organized scheme to defraud, and grand theft in connection with a scheme to steal aviation fuel from the Miami International Airport.
Providing legal support, Kristina is another piece of Jose's defense team, providing each and every client a zealous and effective defense.
